The risk profile in Afghanistan is in the upper quartile. ICA has responded to this by organising a range of insurance facilities in the international insurance market that will respond to the risks that are manifest.
The facilities are substantial and in certain cases can respond to risks of up to USD250 million.
Delivering The Promise

Political Violence or threat of, including terrorism, war, civil war, civil commotion, riots sabotage etc and in some circumstances the use of weapons that are nuclear, biological, chemical or radiological

Forced abandonment and/or evacuation of personnel

Inconvertibility – inability to convert local currency or to remit earnings, payments due to suppliers, fees etc out of country

Expropriation – nationalisation, confiscation, breach of government contract or guarantee and creeping expropriation. Also those officially-backed events that deprive the investor of the proceeds of their investment
